Project Description:The project focuses on analyzing the seismic vulnerability and structural behaviour of Byzantine churches in the Balkan region, aiming to enhance the protection of cultural heritage and human safety. Activities include categorization of the studied churches, comparison of structural and seismic characteristics among participating countries, and exchange of best practices in vulnerability assessment and preservation
measures.
Expected Results:
 – Improved protection of human lives and cultural heritage
 – Increased awareness of the importance of seismic safety of monuments
 – Strengthened cooperation among engineers, researchers, and policymakers
 – Encouraged dialogue and knowledge exchange among member states
Key Activities: Organization of a workshop in Belgrade, joint technical visits, and collection of data
on Byzantine churches across the region. The project will produce a report
summarizing best practices and lessons learned in assessing seismic vulnerability
and restoring historic structures.

Scope of work: During this project, as a part of requred deliverables, ERM under name RMS123 was created, tested and go live. Project incloudes the following activities: analysis of the current state of risk management in the company; the risk appetite determination of Transnafta; development of company risk matrices (4 different types); specification of the desired future state of risk management; knowledge acquisition via dedicated questionaries covered all business areas; connecting the logical structure of knowledge for hazard identification to business areas as requred by COSO framework; knowledge representation; coupling organizational structure goals and responsibilities with potential hazards (COSO approach); design and implementation of a software solution for ERM named RMS123; RBI analyses for pipelines, tank farm, pumps and heatexchangers; risk assessment of business risks accordong to ISO 31000; data population and data migration to ERM; system functionalities development – risk register, Ie factor, prioritization, risk portfolio, MSF, risk classification, risk database creation etc.; development of a draft Risk Management Strategy in Transnafta containing a methodology for identification, classification, a register of identified risks and a risk management plan; recommendations for redefining the organizational structure;
assigning roles and responsibilities for risk management, risk related procedures and KPI; development of final Risk Management Strategy Document and required trainings.
